science trip

Last tuesday,I went national science centre with my friends.

we also went to survival.It is interesting.I think children will loves that,because got a lot of games to let us play.

I am in a jungle.

I am 163kg!!!

Interview day

last monday I went and interview a kindergarten's principle, this is for my 1006 planning and organizing assingment purpose. I went to beaconhouse kindergarten for the interview. The principle is very nice and friendly. She is accept my invitation for the interview.

This is a play-base school, which is very hard to find in Malaysia, but of couse the fees is different from others. The principle said, they are quality. yes, i agree with this.children learn trought play. This is what i have mention at my previous blog.i am very happy and glad that the principle give me the oppurtunity to visit her.

madam told me that, the qualification of teacher they want is minumum diploma in early childhood education, degree in early childhood education/montenssory. but, the demand is very high.so, if don't have qualify teacher and madam will take the experiences teacher. madam will observe the teacher teaching to comfirm she is qualify to teach,

on the other hand, they encourage the children to speak more in english.and they do have theme in a month.which is recycle, good habit, and so on. they will us the theme to teach the children.and the children will more easy to understand and enjoy the class.

beside that, they do have 'special day' which is, if they mention is 'yellow day' the next day the children will wear yellow shirt to shool.i am very interested with this.

nevertheless, they also provide gym lesson and computer class for the children.

children will have profeesional trainner to teach them. and the computer class is teacher to teach them. but they are not using the computer to learn the alphebet or math or game. they teach the children the how to use the tenic to do all the work.such as, draw line, colour,paint and all that. they also teach the children the name of the computer tools.which is,monitor,key board, mouse, and etc.

what is ece field going on now?

I am taking diploma in early childhood education currently.
honestly, i love children.especially when the way interact with the children.
u can found a lot of surprise from the children.such as,their answer,their action, their thinking and so on.
but,i don't like to face the parent,because i don't know how to communicate with them.
I don't know how to fulfill their requirements, because some of the complains are really over.

What is early childhood education field going on now?
base on my previous experience,
a parent complain that her daughter always add 'la','lo','ma',etc in the end of the sentence when she talk.they want us to change this habit.but i think is really hard,because this is malaysian's style.and my boss got no more solution.my boss just said,when the child say that,then we as a teacher have to ask her 'u cannot talk this, this is not we want,is your mum don't want you to talk'.
is that right to tell a child this?
i think my boss should explain to the parent.but we cannot say anything,because my boss not accept any comment from the teacher. my boss just want to earn money.
for my boss----->children=money$$$$
if we complain to our boss, she will give a lot of reason and show us 'black face'.

in my point of view, i felt that government need to increase the requirement for open a kindergarten.because nowaday, got a lot of people just using the 'certificate' to open kindergarten.it is not enough.we want to improve like how sucess western country is.
base on my knowlege, at western country their min requirement is 'diploma holder' and compare with our Malayisa,may be just a form 5 spm result already can be a kindergarten teacher.
sigh~this is the problem.children need quality teacher to understand what is early childhood going on.

on the other hand, 'children learn trough play'. how many people know about this?how many people notie this? how many people realize this?we need people to know this statement.
play is vital for children.
what i have learnt from PROFFESIONAL is, we need to educate the parent.

i hate this,when i rushing the worksheet with my student i really felt is meaningless for children. they are tired, they are boring, they can't learn much.

*when i work in kindergarten and also studying my course,and what i have realize is why so different with what i study?
at last, i have quit my job.i cannot stand anymore with my ex-boss and this kind of education feild.I need more time to understand 'what is going on now'.

Perhaps, we can see improvement in the future
